The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the final result of the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination (I) on October 27, 2023. Candidates who took the UPSC CDS (I) exam this year can check the result on the UPSC official website at upsc.gov.in. You can find the direct link here.
According to the results, a total of 235 candidates have been selected for admission to the 156th (DE) Course of Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and Air Force Academy, Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course i.e. No. 215 F(P) Course based on the written examination and interviews.
The official notice states that the results of the medical examination have not been taken into account while preparing these lists. The Army Headquarters is currently verifying the date of birth and educational qualifications of the selected candidates.
Please note that the candidature of the selected candidates is provisional. They are required to submit their original certificates supporting their date of birth, educational qualification, etc., along with attested photocopies to the Army Headquarters / Naval Headquarters / Air Headquarters, as per their first choice. Additionally, candidates must inform the Army Headquarters / Naval Headquarters / Air Headquarters immediately if there are any changes in their address.

When will the marksheet be available?
The scorecards will be available on the official website once the final results of the Officers’ Training Academy (OTA) for the Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2023 are declared.
All about UPSC CDS Exam
The Union Public Service Commission conducts the CDS exam to appoint candidates in the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Indian Naval Academy (INA), Air Force Academy (AFA), and Officers Training Academy (OTA). The exam is conducted twice a year in April and September. This national-level exam is for the recruitment of officers. The selection process includes a written exam and an SSB interview. The minimum educational qualification required to appear in the UPSC CDS exam is graduation from a recognized Indian university.
